Portraits

I enjoy painting heirloom quality paintings of people. Typically, I work from photographs.

I began this series as a way to deal with aging and lost grandparents.

The challenge of capturing the likeness and the essence of people is exciting and a life long journey.

Many have asked me if I do portraits and I have always shied away from the challenge. Now I am fascinated by faces and feel it is an unequaled way to remember those we love and miss.

I look forward to passing these portraits down through the generations.

Portrait Commissions

YES, I would love to discuss a portrait commission with you.
Pricing begins at $400 per individual, 16"x20", canvas.

What adds to the cost?

number of individuals in portrait
size of canvas
props/scenery that require additional photos and time

These oil paintings take sometimes months to completely dry. Painting will not be shipped or delivered (if local) until the painting is dry. Clients will be provided with a watermarked digital image to view until shipping/delivery is possible. This is to reduce the risk of damage.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required. You are not obligated to purchase the painting upon completion. My goal is to capture the likeness and personality of your loved ones, and to create an heirloom for you that will be cherished and passed on through generations.
